How It Works:

Save my phone number and when you catch a fish you would like printed, simply give me a call or text! See below for the different packages and their pricing. Pricing subject to change.

Note:

The fish should be kept on fresh ice and the print should be done within 48 hours.

Do not gut or scale the fish. Try to maintain its original condition as much as possible.

After the print is taken from the fish, the ink can be rinsed off and filleted or cooked as normal.

Raw Prints "less is more."

Uphold tradition with the Raw Print Package, capturing your prized catch in a timeless piece.

'Raw Prints' utilize a nontoxic sumi ink on rice paper to accentuate the natural details of the fish. After a touch-up of the eye and a layer of UV protectant spray, the print is ready to be framed!

Cost breakdown: $5/lb of fish + $40 service fee

Example: 5 lbs fish; $5 x 5 lbs + $40 = $65 total cost

Complete Prints "it's in the details."

Dive deeper into the mastery of fish printing, with the Complete Print Package, preserving your prized catch forever.

Complete prints take raw prints to the next level using charcoal to incorporate fine details over the original print for a more refined look, all while maintaining the traditional colors of black and white. UV protectant spray holds it together until a trip to the framer can be arranged.

Custom Framing "Get it ready to hang."

This is an all inclusive service that involves 3 primary steps after the completion of a print: urauchi, matting, and framing

Urauchi is a traditional Japanese technique that involves backing the artwork, or print, with another layer of paper to provide support, prevent warping, and enhance durability of the print itself. This process also completely flattens the print ridding it of wrinkles that occur during the process of printing the fish.

Matting (done on most prints prior to framing, but not required) involves cutting mat board to custom dimensions to border the print prior to being framed for enhanced aesthetics and protection. the print is then mounted to a custom cut acid-free foam board.

Framing brings it all together with a hardwood of the clients choice and custom cut, light-weight and UV-protective plexiglass eternalize the work of art!
